The New Year's Eve celebrations are over. The fireworks have well and truly faded and the confetti has been swept up off the dance floor. Yes folks, it was back to reality for little ol' me today after two weeks off from my full-time job, and also what had unintentionally become a bit of an extended break from As Seen In.
After working day in and day out for two years on my little love project, last year I was feeling a tad burnt out and most frustratingly, was absolutely lacking inspiration. And there is no worse a time to upkeep a blog when you're not feeling the most positive. No-one wants to receive that yuckiness in their inbox each week. And I certainly wouldn't be proud of what people were seeing when they logged onto As Seen In.

So, in the grand tradition of New Year's Resolutions I'd given myself the deadline of today to get back my spark, and get together a plan to kick-start As Seen In's little heart again because I believe in it and I hope that you do too. I want to make it easier than ever for you to track down that must-have item you've spotted in your favourite glossy - whether it be a fabulous new dress you NEED by this weekend, an eye-popping new shade of nail polish you're keen to try, or some quirky new decorating items to deck out your abode.

With last year came a move to a new city, a new job in an exciting organisation and a new home. As I channeled my energy into learning all I could in my new role and saw myself heading down many different paths, none of which were fashion related, needless to say I was feeling very guilty for letting the ball drop on As Seen In. Combine that with some nasty technical glitches and a stint without reliable internet (the horror!), and next thing you know I had a juggling act I couldn't sustain.
I've been so proud of others in the industry as their blogs grew, flourished and bounded onto the scene, but all the while I was feeling smaller and more insignificant as I felt my control slipping away.

Last week, I read this article by one of my favourite bloggers and inspirational ladies Gala Darling and it's was like it was written as a personal letter especially to me. I realised, you know what? It's ok to have some down time now and then. It's actually ok to give yourself some space to breathe and reassess and find your inspiration again. Because how can you unleash creativity and positivity on the world when you're feeling anything but?
So this is me putting out my intention to the universe. I'm bounding into 2012 with a renewed vigour, big plans and a whole lotta passion to throw at this here website and blog and I'd love you to come along for the ride.

Over the coming weeks and month I'll be bringing everything back up to speed, correcting, updating and working on some aesthetic changes. I'll be blogging more regularly, and bringing more variety to the table because as much as we all love fashion, there's more to life than pretty threads!
